Where this product line actually gets hard
A desktop robot looks like a toy and behaves like a small embedded system: a display that must refresh at video rate, a gimbal that must move without gear whine, a microphone array that must hear a child at 60 cm over a television, and a cloud persona that must answer in under a second on a hotel Wi-Fi link. Most projects fail on the seams between those parts, not on any one of them.
